  Club History and description
 

First and the only Millennium Rotary Club of R.I. Chartered on 1st January 2000. sponsored by R C Billimora and PDG Prafull Bhatt. Main aim is to support Jai Kishan Hospital and involve rural youth into various social activities.

   
  Club Project Details
 
Micro-Credit (Revolving Loan)
Project:” Sawawlambhi Gramin Nari”
Sponsored Micro-credit (Revolving Loan) Project to uplift the socio-economic standard of poor, uncredit worthy, needy rural women by providing them a Heifer (calf) as a primary source of income R C Gandevi made collaboration with Vasudhara Dairy (District level union primary Milk Co-op. societies) which provided cattle feed, Mineral mix, insurance, vaccinations required for scientific rearing of a Heifer. When Heifer becomes cow (within 28-30 months, cost of Heifer will be recovered from the beneficiaries in installment with a nominal interest which will be given to the other needy women. Thus the primary capital will be revolved. R C Gandevi already distributed 79 Heifer till to-date.
Providing pure drinking water to the community by installing Reverse Osurosis (R.O.) Water treatment plants in selected village.
Majority of the water borne diseases (80%) are spread by unsafe drinking water in India. R C Gandevi has sponsored above project as a Preventive Health Measure. Rotarians of Gandevi Club have decided to cover whole county under this project. Under MG# 20038, R C Gandevi has installed seven R.C. Water Treatment Plants at four villages and Three Charitable Hospitals. Each site will serve cluster of village. R C Gandevi is going to install five more R.O. Plants at five villages under MG# 58674. Incidences of disease have been reduced in beneficiary villages and image of Rotary has increased to a great extent.
